The lesson that I applied in KG2 classroom was about numeracy and literacy subjects. I did the numeracy with the whole class where I read (5 red apples hanging on the tree) story book. The children engaged with the story book and they were interested in it. This is because of that when I asked them about the apples, they started counting the number of apples that are on the tree and the number of apples that fall of the tree. After that, they counted the apples without asking them and all of them were trying to count.
After the story reading, I provided some printable red and green apples in small and big sizes. I introduced the classification outcome for them by showing the (big apples / small apples) and (red/green small apples) / (red/green big apples). I put these printable apples in a bag and I asked each child to put his hand in the bag, get an apple and feel it if it is small or big apples. After few times, I asked them to describe the color of the apple that they got with its size. For example, big green apple or small red apple…ect.
In the focus activity, I did a literacy activity. I provided some apples shapes and green and red small papers. I asked the children to choose a color that they would like to glue on the apple with saying the letter that the word apple start with and the color of the apple they would like.
