This is a literacy lesson that had a creative art activity and play. At the beginning of the lesson, reviewed with them the words that start with the sound S. They start giving me some words like spider, star, spoon, snake and sun. I introduced some more words for them from the PowerPoint and I asked the children one by one to name choose a picture and name it. After that, I played the video song for them and I encouraged them to sing it with each other by letting one of them the leader.

During the focus activity, I provided the appropriate materials for the children to create a hand print spider. They were very creative while they were doing the activity. This is because of that they choose different paint colors to print by their fingers as well as different designing with glitters.

Focus activity:
-          Ask the children by groups to help each other put paints on their hands and print them on the map.

In this lesson , the children were playing and working collaboratively and in creative way. With the whole children, I asked them about the number of the week and I let them write it by their magic fingers. It was a good idea when I asked a student to model the number 7 by his body. It was a little bit difficult for them, so I supported them by showing them the movie song to have an idea about how to make the number. In other words, when no one could to do this was a good lead in my video. Asking children to make seven using fingers other than (5+2) was good higher thinking game. Moreover, the counting activity was good asking specific children to count a star card to their ability. It was a good blending of subject matter when I asked the children to count pictures that started with the letter of the week ‘K’.

In the focus group activity, the children were working together by putting the color that each child like on his/her hand. They have created a colorful UAE map with the flag color.
