My second lesson (Literacy lesson) (02/10/2012)

Today I did my second lesson plan which was about the same theme, outcome and letter as the previews lesson. I played the same story book for the children from the computer but this time was with the recording sound. In another word, I played an E-book that has the story recording sound with some sound effects and pictures of the story. The children liked the story very much and they interacted with it because they were imitating some the character words. For example, when the character will shout and say “Maaaameeeeey”, they will say with it.

After that I played a song for them with a video clip and they started dancing and moving with the song. Moreover, they learned the name of each part of the house from the song. For instance, bedroom, bathroom, living room and dining room.

For the focus activity, I provided for them printable letter Aa and I asked them to glue their favorite glitter color and then practice to write the letter A underneath it. Most of them did the activity very well. However, few of them did not do it in a good way, but I tried to be with them and support each of them.
