In this lesson, the whole section was less interactive and active than the previews lesson. This is because of that in this lesson, I played an online story from the computer instead of having the hard copy and read it by myself and make it as active as I could. However, the children were very creative while the child in the story said let’s make the letter T shape. Some of them drew the letter by their fingers in the air while some of them created the letter by crossing their fingers to make the shape of the letter.
After the story time, I tried to encourage them to be active by the flash cards game and the bag. In this activity, I provided the flash cards that have pictures started with the letter T in a bag. I asked children one by one to get a card from the bag and say the name of the picture. This made the children so active and they tried to interact and cooperate with me. After playing the game, I sing a song that start with the letter T which is (Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear). This song helped the children’s gross motor skills because it supported them to move and dance.
After the whole group activity, I grouped the children into 5 different groups. The group that I had, I modeled the activity for the children and I gave the instruction for the children about how to do the activity. The children had different ideas about being creative and how to glue and stick the pictures on the letter and also in which color they could use to color the letter T. The children were very helpful when they were helping each other to find the appropriate picture that matched the letter.

Hi Dear,
ReplyDeleteUsingf technology in Preschool setting may be interesting to children at this age. I believe that u did a good job and a new creative thing when you used th online story book because children will be involved to watch it and you can observe children to see if they comprehend the difficult parts in it.
Further, I think flas cards can be used to introduce any topic such as numeracy, literacy, science , etc.
Good luck :)
I liked it when used ICT to start the lesson because all the children these days like it. Simple activity and it shows you who can remember the words that start with /t/
ReplyDeleteGood job
Keep going
I think you're doing some great work here, Reem. The photos and your comments really create a great impression about the learning you arrange.
